Spanish 21
Spanish 21
May 17, 2007 - Gunilla Larsen
Spanish 21 has more liberal blackjack rules than the classic variety, for example:
Doubling down any number of cards (with the option to surrender only one wager to the house
- Payout bonuses for five or more card 21's
- Late surrender after doubling
- Double splitting Aces
- Player blackjacks always winning
- Player 21's always winning
- 678 bet pays 3:2
- Bet pays 2:1 if suited
- Bet pays 3:1 of suited in Spades
- 777 against a dealer 7 pays $1000
In this blackjack variety, there are no cards with the value of 10 in the deck (though there are jacks, queens, and kings). A Spanish 21 almost always has a higher house edge than a comparable blackjack game.
